Here are some common questions I get asked as a Therapist. If you have another please contact me below.
-
What can I expect from therapy sessions?
Our therapy sessions provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Together, we'll work on identifying goals, developing coping strategies, and fostering personal growth. Sessions last around 30-60 minutes, and the frequency of sessions will be tailored to your unique needs.
-
What approaches do you use in therapy?
Our therapy is rooted in a collaborative approach, combining evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tailor my methods to match your needs, preferences, and the issues you're working through.
-
How long will therapy take?
The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients may find relief and progress in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support. We'll work together to establish a plan that aligns with your objectives.
-
How do I ensure my privacy and confidentiality?
Your privacy is of utmost importance. I adhere to strict confidentiality standards as mandated by professional ethics and the law. However, there are certain situations where confidentiality might be breached, such as concerns of harm to yourself or others. We'll discuss these exceptions during our initial sessions.
-
What are your fees and do you accept insurance?
I currently accept most major healthcare plans with more coming soon! Clients will be responsible for their insurance copayment. Please reach out to your insurance provider for full details. There is a $60 fee for sessions missed or cancelled within 24 hours of the session.
-
How do I pay for sessions?
All payments are made through my partner, Headway. Headway is a technology-enabled mental health group that handles all your billing and copay questions in order for us to be able to focus on our work.
-
How do I schedule an appointment?
Scheduling an appointment is easy. Click the Schedule a Session button and my partners at Headway will take your information and show you my availability.
-
Do you see clients online or in office?
I am currently seeing clients online through a HIPAA secured and easy to use telemedicine platform. In person sessions is something I look to add in the future.
