About Jesse
I aspire to be a positive force in this world, and upon reflection, I realized that my experience in therapy enabled me to make significant, positive changes in my own life. With this insight, I started my journey towards becoming a Mental Health Therapist.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Florida International University, followed by a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
My first experience in the field took place through an internship program with Broward Outreach Center in Hollywood, Florida. During my time there, I honed my skills in conducting group therapy and providing individual counseling to homeless adults grappling with Addiction and Comorbid Mental Health Disorders.
Upon graduation, I dedicated myself to working at drug treatment facilities in South Florida, where I attended to young adults who had fallen victim to the opioid epidemic.
Subsequently, I was recruited by Miami Dade County Public Schools to serve as a Mental Health Coordinator. In this capacity, I offered support to schools in their effort to address the mental health concerns of their students.
Upon relocating to Central Florida, I joined a group practice that enabled me to extend mental health services to a diverse clientele facing a wide spectrum of mental health needs.
The transformative work I engage in with my clients has truly allowed me to manifest the positive impact I set out to achieve.
My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach centers around fostering a deeply empathetic and client-centered environment. I firmly believe that each individual's journey is unique, and it is my privilege to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can freely express themselves. From the moment we begin our therapeutic partnership, my goal is to establish a genuine connection built on trust, respect, and collaboration.
